Gabor has been a part of the Ambition Racing family for well over a decade, having first taking on the role of Team Chef back in October 2013. During that time, Gabor (or Gabs) has travelled the world with Ambition, accompanying the team on camps in Norway, Italy, Switzerland and even New Zealand. Over this time, he has become more like family than a member of staff, riding the highs and lows with the team and always offering a friendly & kind ear to all who enter Haus Tirol.
Gabor finished his studies at Dunaferr College of Hospitality back in 2006, before working in a variety of restaurants in Hungary. When Gabor moved to Austria in 2012, he started off working as sous chef in the Salzburger Hof (next to the base station of the Asitzbahn in Leogang) where he met his now wife, Anna Pataki. It wasn’t long before we managed to prise Gabor away from his role at the Salzburgehof, near the beginning of our Haus Tirol project, to take charge of all meals and nutrition at the training base.
Gabor has two children together with Anna: Viki (2014) and Alex (2018), living just 10 minutes from Haus Tirol in the beautiful Hochfilzen.
